Intermediary Assistance:
The following are just some examples of the type of intermediary assistance available – from simply recommending architects and artisans to arranging for your project to be followed through every step of the way :
 
¨       Providing list of architects and French registered artisans in the area;
 
¨       Acting as intermediary between French architects/draughtsmen where no English is spoken and you are unable to liaise directly;
 
¨       Acting as intermediary between French artisans where no English is spoken and you are unable to liaise directly;
 
¨       Project-managing construction projects (out-sourced to professionals with intermediary translation / interpreting where required);
 
¨       Assistance with preparing building permit request files for town halls / planning departments;
 
¨       Assistance with declaration forms for other works such as conservatories, swimming pools, garages, etc;

"My wife and I are in the midst of a new build project.  We live in Yorkshire and the plot we have bought is in the Charente.  Whilst sourcing the plot we worked with Nigel, Debbie’s husband, at Tour de Clefs Immobilier.  Having returned to the UK we decided to utilise Debbie’s “Global” consultancy service.  We could not be more satisfied with this decision. 

What has Debbie done for us?  Having returned to the UK, Debbie on our behalf met with and negotiated a discount on the sale price of the plot with the Vendor.  She liaised with the Vendor and his Notaire; secured for us our own English speaking Notaire; ensured the contracts for the purchase included all required safeguards; provided full translations of same; introduced us to a currency specialist; advised on health care issues; and even opened a French bank account for us!  Try doing all that from Yorkshire!  In phase 2 Debbie forwarded our house concept plans to the competing builders for their submissions.  Prior to our subsequent visit Debbie suggested suitable hotels for our stay and on arrival she and her team accompanied us, meeting with the builders and providing inspection visits to reference sites, also confirming appointments with selected kitchen designers.
