Having lived in the Charente since 1999, initially working with my husband in the property business, in 2004 I became an independent translator and consultant and I now have a French assistant making the A La Carte team complete. Together, we have a good knowledge of the process involved in various different domains in the local area and across France.  You will see from this website that we specialise in certain areas but can quote for all kinds of jobs, across a wide variety of topics! We are sure we can help you as we have helped many others!

Why A La Carte?

I decided to call my services “A La Carte Consultancy Services” as these services are very varied and can be tailored to each individual request.  There are obviously certain services that are carried out on a regular basis and for which there is a standard fee but as different clients may wish to pick and choose parts of the service, or add or remove certain services, and others may require a completely different service altogether, the “menu” choices really can be mixed and matched or simply “made to measure”!

The A La Carte Way

After discussing each request individually with potential clients (either by phone, e-mail or post), a written quote is provided before any work is carried out and an agreement letter drawn up so that each party knows what service is provided for the fee agreed.
